This Friday and Saturday (April 29-30 this year), Galeria Katowicka will host a 2023 Handball World Championship trophy tour. The trophy and championship mascot will be presented to a wider group of fans for the first time. Katowice is one of the host cities for next year’s games.
The statuette that the world champions will receive is gold-plated, measures 50 cm and weighs more than 19 kg. The hand trophy was handcrafted and supervised by Iraqi sculptor Ahmed Albahrani.
