From July 1, 2022, a new salary scale for doctors, nurses and other health professions will apply.

A draft amendment to the law on the method of determining the lowest base salary of certain employees working in health establishments has been submitted for public consultation. It defines the salary grid for nurses. The new wages should apply from July 1, 2022. Comments can be submitted until April 18, 2022.

As we read in the regulatory impact study, “the project aims to modify the law of June 8, 2017 relating to the method of determining the basic minimum wage of certain employees working in health establishments so as to introduce into the legal order of the provisions with representative trade union organizations and representative employers’ organizations and included in the position of the Tripartite Health Protection Team of November 5, 2021.

What are the salaries of medical specialists?

Doctor, dentist with specialization (the first amount/work factor applies to a doctor, dentist with a specialization; the second is a doctor, dentist with the 1st degree of specialization):

  • the current work factor – 1.31; 1.2
  • current statutory minimum base salaries – PLN 6769.39; PLN6,200.96
  • the social coefficient agreed within the tripartite team on July 1, 2022 – 1.45
  • statutory minimum base salaries as of July 1, 2022 – PLN 8,210.67
