PrestaShop with a 40% increase in revenue in 2021. The company is accelerating its transformation to become the leading e-commerce platform for business development


In 2021, PrestaShop saw a significant increase in revenue and gross goods value generated by sellers using the platform. The company also plans to double employment in 2022. The platform has become the preferred e-commerce solution for small and medium-sized businesses in Europe and Latin America. After joining the MBE Worldwide group, the company presents even more dynamic development plans.

A historic year for the e-commerce leader in Europe and Latin America

Fifteen years after its debut in France, PrestaShop has experienced exceptional growth momentum. Nearly 300,000 PrestaShop stores generated 24 billion euros in turnover in 2021which is a 9% increase over 2020 and translates to a 40% increase in revenue.

PrestaShop plans to increase the number of employees in 2022 from 200 to 400. This will also be possible thanks to the “Work From Anywhere” approach, ensuring a balance between work and private life. At the beginning of 2022, 50 new employees joined the company.

A growth mindset also requires building large-scale strategic partnerships to support platform user goals. These include offering new features and services, increasing the number of customers through appropriate marketing strategies and increasing visibility. By providing access to the best of technology, PrestaShop allows businesses of all sizes, especially SMEs, to grow and evolve.

PrestaShop Essentials, available on the platform Complements, is a feature pack designed to improve and simplify the retailer experience. It includes, among others PrestaShop Checkout built using PayPal payment interfaceanalysis and management of e-commerce data with PrestaShop Metricsinternet marketing with PrestaShop Marketing with Googlesocial shopping with PrestaShopFacebookif deferred payments with PrestaShop Pay Laterrecently launched in partnership with Oney and PayPlug.
