Novena through the intercession of S. Andrzej Bobola. Day 3.

May 16 of this year. we will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the institution of St. Andrzej Bobola the Patron of Poland. The immediate preparation for this event is a national novena through the intercession of the martyr for the gift of the unity of our nation and for the gift of peace in Ukraine and in the world.

It will last from Saturday May 7 to Sunday May 15, the day before St. Patrick’s Day. Andrzej Bobola. In these difficult times, we cannot neglect systematic prayer, because only God has the power to stop war. Get involved and encourage others!
We will print the reflections for each day of the novena in “Nasz Dziennik” and publish them on the Naszdziennik.pl website.

Day 1. INTRODUCTORY PRAYER

Saint Andrew Bobolo, Patron of Unity,

“There is one God and Father of all who [jest i działa] above all, by all and in all”. On the basis of these words of Saint Paul, you have built around you a community of people devoted to God and to your neighbor over the centuries. You have accompanied Poland at decisive moments in history, invigorating successive generations, giving you encouragement and hope. Together with you and the saints of our country, we want to create a community in which there is room for everyone. Through your intercession, we ask for the graces of the Holy Spirit necessary to shape a world of solidarity for us and future generations.

We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Day 3 (May 9) For the gift of social peace

Saint Andrew Bobolo, Patron of Unity,
You have carried out your service as a missionary priesthood for people living on the periphery of society, striving for the salvation of their souls with the zeal and willingness to lay down your own life. God accepted your bloody sacrifice. We agree with the words of Cardinal August Hlond, shortly after your canonization: “Following the example of St. Andrzej Bobola, we must support the work for the unity of the Church in a great way, sincerely, without fear, without deepen the ritual misunderstandings, without relegating this big question to the track of competition for prestige and influence”. Let us pray for the social peace desired by all people of good will.
Saint Andrew, intercede for us with God!

Our Father…Hail Mary…
Glory be to the Father…
