Lenovo Legion 7 and Legion 7i – best laptops with Intel Alder Lake-HX, AMD Rembrandt, NVIDIA RTX 3000 and Radeon RX 6000M

A few days ago we discussed in detail what’s new from Lenovo in the Yoga multimedia series. Ultrabooks and 2in1 convertible devices were presented there. Today it’s time to talk about laptops designed primarily for gaming. At the beginning of the year, Lenovo only presented the Legion 5 and Legion 5 Pro models. Turns out the longer wait for the flagship Legion 7 series had a reason. What’s coming is mostly based on Intel’s 12th Gen Alder Lake-HX processors debuting today, including the 16-core, 24-thread Intel Core i9-12900HX chip. The Lenovo Legion 7 series will however also use AMD Rembrandt processors… and dedicated AMD Radeon RX 6000M graphics chips. Lenovo Legion 7 and Legion Slim 7 will be other devices belonging to the AMD Advantage program.

Lenovo presents its best gaming laptops: Legion 7 and Legion 7i. The laptops use Intel Alder Lake-HX and AMD Rembrandt processors, along with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3000 and AMD Radeon RX 6000M graphics chips.

The Lenovo Legion 7i will use Intel Alder Lake-HX processors, including the Core i9-12900HX, while the Lenovo Legion 7 will be based on AMD Rembrandt chips, including the AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX. The Lenovo Legion 7i will be paired with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3000 graphics chips, including the best laptop GPU GeForce RTX 3080 Ti (TGP 175W), while the Lenovo Legion 7 with AMD Ryzen 6000 will be part of the AMD Advantage program, this which means a combination with Radeon RX 6000M graphics chips (Radeon RX 6700M and Radeon RX 6850M XT with TGP 145 W). Similar configurations: Intel + NVIDIA and AMD + AMD can be found in thinner Lenovo Legion Slim 7i and Legion Slim 7 designs. inches with Mini LED backlight and brightness in HDR mode up to 1250 nits.

Lenovo introduces a portfolio of Yoga and Yoga Slim laptops with Intel Alder Lake and AMD Rembrandt, plus the AiO Yoga 7 computer

Lenovo Legion Slim 7 (i) is a slimmed down version of the best laptop, which of course determines which components are used. Instead of 16-core Intel Alder Lake-HX processors, we find up to 14-core Alder Lake-H chips with lower power limits. For AMD models, the processors will remain the same: up to the AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX. In the case of graphics systems, we can rely as much as possible on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 100 W (Legion Slim 7i) or AMD Radeon RX 6800S (Legion Slim 7). The screens or the battery (99.9 Wh) will remain unchanged. In both cases, we will also receive full-size keyboards, well known from previous Lenovo Legion 7 models. Detailed specifications for each model can be found in the news tables. The availability of individual laptops is expected from June to July.
